We could never have a civil discussion for fear of starting an argument, and we were always at odds with one another. With her kind guidance, our therapist helped us see destructive patterns of communication of which we were unaware. She taught us how to listen to one another with empathy and understanding, and how to speak our minds with confidence. Now, even when we have different opinions, we strive to understand each other and form connections. What a remarkable difference being a couple has made to our happiness and sense of security!
